Amazing Finds for Less Than $5

I received Influenster’s #JingleVoxBox for free to review the season’s top products. These products are all available for less than $5 each. I’m going out to get another set! Read my review below.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Creamcetaphil

I had never heard of Cetaphil before getting this product from Influenster. Upon receiving this cream, my mom told me that the brand is well known for its smooth, soothing qualities. After trying the cream, I saw for myself how well the product works. It really does moisturize your hands, especially in these cold, dry winter months. I use it before bed every night for smooth hands in the morning. I even use it on my legs after shaving and on my face after a hot shower.

Biscoff Cookiesbiccoff

My expectation: I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never heard of the Biscoff brand before. The picture on the front showed a cookie that resembled a tea biscuit or shortbread cookie, so I thought it would be dense and good for dunking.

My reality: When I first tried them, my thought was “wow, this isn’t what I was expecting at all.” The cookies were light, sweet, and graham-cracker-like. They went great with a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. I even spread some peanut butter and Nutella on them for a delightful afternoon treat.

Ore-Ida Tater Totsoreida

I was so excited to get these for free! Not only do we love tater tots at my house, but I’ve been dying to perfect my frying skills. Since I moved out of my parents’ house three months ago, I’ve been learning to cook, slice and dice, and bake my way into my boyfriend’s heart!

Hallmark IttyBittysolaf (2)

This is the cutest thing in the world! It’s a small stuffed animal that resembles your favorite Disney characters…and more! My cats thought it was cute, too, as they played with it across my living room floor. I got Olaf from Frozen and got my nephews Mickey Mouses. They love their itty bittys, too!

NYC New York Color Eyeliner

I’m rather an aficionado when it comes to eyeliners. I’ve tried them all – crayons, pencils, cray-cils, and on and on. So far, I love the crayon-pencil cross-over. It glides on smooth and lasts all day. Sharpening it is a breeze, and one eyeliner lasts me at least six months. The only thing I didn’t like about NYC’s eyeliner was that it smeared as I took it off, even with makeup remover. My makeup definitely made a statement on New Year’s Eve!

Kiss True Volume Lashes and Lash Adhesive

I don’t usually wear false eye lashes, but these looked very natural and were easy to apply. The adhesive made it easier to apply them because it had a thin brush that spread the glue evenly along each lash.

Pure Ice Nail Polish, Shore Betnails

I love this color. Not only is it a great color for adding designs, but it’s a good, neutral color for someone like me who works in a professional office. It applied smoothly and covered nicely. The only thing I didn’t like was that it chipped the next day. It could’ve been the top coat I used, so I’ll definitely try using this polish again with some different designs.

Summer is the perfect time to take advantage of your unused vacation days from work. Booking vacations, however, can be expensive if you don’t know where to look. I booked my first vacation with Costco Travel this year, and I saved so much money and time compared to using another booking site.

My Simple Guide to Attending a Wedding on a Budget

2014 is the year of the wedding! One of my friends is attending seven weddings this year – either she’s in the wedding party or attending as a guest. Personally, I know of four weddings coming up within the next few months, and I’m attending two. So with all this hectic planning and preparing, it’s also important to know what to expect and what’s expected of you.
